Arrival and Departure

Arrival and Departure

Please plan to arrive in Urbana-Champaign by 6 pm on  Tuesday, June 2, 2026 and depart after 12:00 pm on Friday, June 5, 2026 in order to participate in all conference activities. A conference program will be posted on the website in mid-May.

Lodging and Meals

Lodging and Meals

Graduate student participants in the Black Graduate Conference in Psychology (BGCP) will be staying in Illinois Street Residence Hall (ISR) on UIUC’s campus. Participants’ room and lodging will be covered by the cost of the conference registration. All other incidental expenses will need to be covered by the participants. Participants will receive an email from the conference with information about the lodging and conference registration procedures, their roommate, and the date and time of their presentation. Graduate student participants should plan to check into the residence hall after 3 PM on June 2nd. Conference registration will occur in Levis Faculty Center between 4 PM and 6 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The majority of conference activities will be held between June 2nd and June 5th in Levis Faculty Center. More information regarding lodging will be provided closer to the conference.

Meals will be provided throughout the conference. We will take the diversity of dietary needs and desires into consideration.

Transportation to/from UIUC

Transportation to/from UIUC

The closest airport to UIUC is University of Illinois Willard Airport (CMI). UIUC is approximately 3 miles (e.g., 10 minutes) from University of Illinois Willard Airport.

Attire and Weather

Attire and Weather

Dress for the conference is business casual. The average daily temperature in Urbana-Champaign is 82°F and the nightly temperature is 62°F in June. You may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater to compensate for air conditioning.
